What it means

Every club plays at least six Saturdays and between three and twelve Sundays.

Why it exists

Keeps every club's weekend mix within what fans are used to. The Sunday minimum of three is stricter than the recent minimum of one; a test run showed it cost almost nothing.

For example

A club cannot be given fifteen Sundays, and no club gets fewer than three.

How strictly it applies

Must-follow The fixture must obey this rule. A separate checker tests the finished fixture afterwards.

Must-follow. The Saturday floor and Sunday ceiling are calibrated to the 2023 to 2026 fixtures; the Sunday floor of three was set by the project owner. Checked from the 30 September release.
